As we are working on building our own database of doctors and service providers, here are links to some of the few programs in the country that specialize in autonomic disorders. Disautonomia Information Network and the American Autonomic Society both provide searchable databases of providers.

University of Toledo Syncope and Autonomic Disorders Center

Part of the university’s Heart and Vascular Center, the Syncope and Autonomic Discorders Center has a lot of resources and doctors who specialize in autonomic disorders. Located in Ohio.

Vanderbilt Autonomic Dysfunction Center 

Vanderbilt University was the first to offer an international center for patient care, research, and training focusing exclusively on disorders of the autonomic nervous system. Located in Tennessee.

Stanford Healthcare’s Autonmic Disorders Program

This center addresses a wide variety of dysautonomias, but appointments require a referral. Information for your doctor to make a referral is on the site. Located in California.

Univerity of Texas’ Department of Pediatrics’ Dysautonomia Center of Excellence

This clinic specializes in pediatric patients with dysautonomias, both genetic and non-genetic. Located in Texas.

Autonomic Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University 

Offers evaluation of patients with multiple system atrophy, pure autonomic failure, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, hypotension, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), fainting, abnormalities of sweating, bladder and sexual dysfunction. Located in Ohio.

NorthShore Neurological Institute

This clinic specializes in diagnosis and treatment of autonomic disorders in adults and children over 7 years old. Located in Illinois.

University of Iowa Autonomic Disorders Clinic

Works with patients who have issues with blood pressure, heart functions, breathing and swallowing. They also work with other specialists in dermatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, neuroophthalmology and urology to provide more diversified patient care. Located in Iowa.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Autonomic and Peripheral Nerve Disorders Clinic

Part of the hospital’s neurology department and a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, this clinic is an international center for research, investigation and treatment of disorders of the peripheral and autonomic nervous system. Located in Massachusetts.

NYU Langone Health’s Dysautonomia Center

This center welcomes children, adults and caregivers alike, offering diagnosis, treatment and research regarding both genetic and non-genetic dysautonomias. Located in New York City.

Neuerosciences Center at Froedtert Hospital

Part of the Medical College of Wisconsin system, Froedtert Hospital offers autonomic disorder treatment. Located in Wisconsin.

Dysautonomia Information Network

DINET is a great resource for information about dysautonomias, and has a searchable database of providers.

American Autonomic Society

Another great resource of information, this site has a directory of specialists.
